I'm not there yet but soon. I remember the last time I messed with the front turn signal connections it was a frustrating exercise with colorful language involved. I'm saving this part of the rabbit hole I am in for last.

Any tips to deal with the tight, dark, need three hands operation of connecting them?

I am mostly concerned with the how do I get my hands and fingers in there to make those connections with the rubber boot and other obstructions in the way.
