Sadly I didn't have my digicam with me on saturday, but today I was able to take a couple pictures of a 914 racer I hadn't seen before. It is built from a '75, but has a 2.8L 6-cyl in it. Of particular interest to me was his setup for directing fresh air into the intake. I've seen a number of different threads here on this subject. The other 914 racer had a similar setup, except that car's snorkel was not fixed to the roof, but more like a scoop that protruded above the roofline...
I drove my 914 out to Putnam both days (it was a beautiful weekend), making up for missing 9-14 day, and also to celebrate Dr. Porsche's birthday (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) Attached image(s) |

I know that car, it's been around a while, used to be yellow/black or yellow/dark purple. It's been repainted and has new graphics, I wonder if it's changed owners? It has 3.0 destroked to 2.8. It's wicked fast. It's up front in the sprint and enduros.
