Great fun. Got to visit with Andy with his freshly painted racecar.
Also got to ride along with two seperate drivers for over 40 minutes of track time (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap.gif) I put my cam in Scott Yeaman's 3.2 914-6car for his race. The camera came loose mid way and started rotating on the mount. Produced a great effect as it would swing around in the turns pointing foward, at Scott and backwards. Actually looks pretty good. I'll be out again tomorrow for more fun and will be begging for more rides (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/boldblue.gif) KT |

On a sad note, Scott Yeaman badly wrecked his car.
He's seems to be ok, but all the bodywork and some suspension items are ruined. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) He said he lost it in turn one at over 100mph, spun the car into the tire wall under the foot bridge. I'm glad he's alright. He said he has all the spare parts to fix it right. Just a real bummer for him. I got there a few minutes after it had happened. He was shaken up. ( no pics of this ) KT |

Trekkor,
I am worried about Scott...he's a great guy and I was just at his house earlier this week during his clutch change.... Is he still up there or did he come home? Bill P. |

Ouch. I hope we hear from him soon. If there's anything I can do to help, I'm there.

It was nice seeing Trekkor and Martin Baker at the track. I had never been to Infinion before and I really enjoyed it. I hope that it is on the POC schedule for next year. I hope Scott's car gets back to normal soon, it's a really nice car. Worse part of the weekend for me was that spagetti of a freeway system going through Oakland area friday evening in the rain. yes, scott is *OK* (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)
the car not so much. apparently, he hit a bump at over 100mph and the rear end came around on him and he went straight into the wall (well, actually sort of backwards) ... FG bodywork is destroyed, suspension caved in, lots of bend tubes, but the main cage held up nicely. nothing that can't be fixed! scott said he has been hit harder during his semi-pro football days ... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif) Andy PS: here's the car at thunderhill ... (IMG:http://www.sirandy.com/pix/racing/IMGP0295.jpg) |
