Maybe you guys with access to the parts microfiches can help me. Just wondering what the part number is for the original 914-6 steering wheel. I have two wheels for my 1970 car (one that was on it when I bought it, and another better condition one I acquired later) - but have two different part numbers on them. The horn contact rings are slightly different, but they look identical otherwise.

Were the numbers different each year - and did they differ from the same year 911 part number?

Thanks in advance for any help.

There were a few different part numbers for the 914-6 steering wheel and I'm not sure if I have them all. But here is what I have in my notes.

1970-1972 914-6 Steering Wheel Leather Covered with soft rubber base Part #'s 914.347.806.10 and 914.347.805.11

Hard Rubber non-Leather Covered Part #'s 914.347.803.10 and 914.347.805.10

Although the 914-6 steering wheel will fit an early 911, they are different. They have a smaller diameter.

Thanks! Looks like I've got one of each part number of the leather covered variety.
