Trying to get the roll pin in my pedal cluster I managed to break my vise!
It got to the point where I was hitting the handle with a rubber mallet to drive the roll pin in and then all of the sudden the vise got loose. Yup. Snapped the thing in half. It's a Pittsburg from HF, so who knows... I managed to get it flush with the 'bottom' and it has about a 1/4" or less still sticking out the 'top'. I took a whack at it with my air chisel using a punch bit and only manged to push the inside in... It's totally good enough, but damn... I broke my vise! -Aaron |
