Here is a car for anybody that wants to have something different and never see another one on the street and yet still have a Porsche. Based on a 1970 Porsche 914 the car was pretty much completely re-fabricated from there on up. The engine is a 2.7 litre 6-cylinder Porsche with fuel injection coupled to a Porsche 911 5-speed gearbox. Both units were rebuilt and have about 1,000 miles on them. The body itself is an all steel custom design utilizing a 1989 Porsche Speedster windshield, doors, side glass and convertible top. A 928 rear is utilized with custom covers over the tail lights. Headlights are Nissan 300ZX again with custom covers. The brakes come from a 1987 Porsche Turbo and it has 15 inch CEC ATEV wheels at the front with 18 inch versions at the rear and fitted with Pirelli P Zeros, 295-35 rears and 225-50 fronts. Suspension is coil over with Koni shocks. Interior wise the car once again is pretty custom, with specially built seats, customized gauges, custom steering wheel, German wool carpet and 5-point racing style seatbelts. Finished in Guards Red with Mauve toned interior and convertible top.

$30K

Those headlight covers look like something off of a Nissan NSX.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) Hmmmmmm? I have no idea what to say... so like my mammy used to tell me, I just won't say anything at all.....

Second thought, those 300zx headlights might have promise if they were not covered with those goofy grilles......

I actually know quite a bit about this car. The owner loves 300zx's and wanted his 914 to look like one. Everything is custom and not done too well. The rear deck is made with a ton of bondo. He's asking $29k. I wouldn't pay $2900 for this car. It was in the shop VERY OFTEN.

Oh, but the paint is red (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif)

Well - it's different. It at least looks reasonably polished. Hey - AT least it's ALL PORSCHE and not one of these crappy bowtie/subaru conversions....

Looks like he forgot to design a way to look at the engine, haha.
Guess you'd have to drop the motor to even change the air filter? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif)

I agree with you on the crappy bowtie/subaru conversions. I'm glad to see you didn't include the too cool Buick V6 conversions. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/KMA.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/finger.gif)
