I am wanting to turn the engine.. I have it out, when I put power to the starter it spins, but just the starter, its not engaging and turning the engine.
Thx for any help.. The way I am doing it now is have it wired to battery as it would be in the car, and using a screw driver I am making the two large post on starter connect, will include pic of my starter. Attached image(s) |

Its been awhile since I jumped a starter but I believe you need to include the yellow wire into your "jumping" If you put power to the terminal with the yellow wire the starter should pop forward.

Not sure if this helps but my starter went out last week. I replaced it with thisstarter and it works great. There are a couple of other members that have used the same one.
Thanks T |
