I was wondering what options I have for the 2.7. Most of the info I see deals with the IV's when it comes to exhaust.
Any good vendors to look up? |

Those stainless mufflers are beautiful (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif) . I've been collecting photos of muffler setups for a while in anticipation of building something for my 3.0....here's some:

Six noob question: Is the 914-6 muffler the same as an early 911 muffler?

An early 911 muffler will work on a six with out the early style valance. The exhaust tip exited in a slightly different spot. I ran a sport muffler on my 914-6. Typical twin pipe set up. Took and early 911 muffler and gutted it, closed over the normal left exhaust exit and twin piped it to where the exit pipes were directly behind where the headers entered into the back of the muffler. Almost a straight through pipe. Talk about sound...yoweeeee! Nothing like a sweet 2.7 with open exhaust. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) |

What engine was used for the sound tests? Those mufflers are very nice looking. How big are they (diameter) |

I believe it was a 3.2. They are 6 inches in diameter.
I take it you didnt click the link above. These are MK mufflers. And cheaper then the other sites that sell them. Ben and I have been friends for quite some time and he has allowed me to sell these. They really are a sweet muffler I have one on my car. There are also some sounds clips on the mk website. Sounds clips |

Early 911 model. I did some re-baffling to quiet it down.It sounds nice to me. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Ron Attached image(s) |
