I have a 2.0L with the D-jet and a few things have just happened.
The drivers side seems to be alittle louder lately and the idle is bad. Can an exhaust leak affect the running of an engine? I got underneath the car and tightened all of the exhaust bolts...still loud??? Walking from one side to the other you can tell the difference. I will now look for a crack or? in the exchanger. Thanks for any thoughts |

Are you certain it is exhaust noise and not lifter noise?

Loose valves would certainly effect the idle and running characteristics of the engine. Let us know what you find out about the issue.
