I have a 2.0L with the D-jet and a few things have just happened.

The drivers side seems to be alittle louder lately and the idle is bad.

Can an exhaust leak affect the running of an engine?

I got underneath the car and tightened all of the exhaust bolts...still loud??? Walking from one side to the other you can tell the difference.

I will now look for a crack or? in the exchanger.

Thanks for any thoughts

Are you certain it is exhaust noise and not lifter noise?

No I am not (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I guess I can adjust the valves to eliminate that as a issue.

Cheers

Loose valves would certainly effect the idle and running characteristics of the engine. Let us know what you find out about the issue.
