I have a set of Gas burners for my 914-6 they are in good shape but need some TLC, what can you do to restore a Mag gas burner?
Powder coat, paint, clear etc.... Not sure where to begin except I know I don't want the sand blast them. Thanks! |

Can't be done. Sorry. Send them to me & I'll dispose of them for you. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
I'd send them to Al Reed & have him bring them back to original. Those are my favorite rims. Too pricey for my wallet. tho. |

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) Good one Mark, Don't think I will fall for it. I got them a while back before people thought they where worth something. Got a set of 5 for $400 and a set of 4 for $250.
Todays prices are to heavy for my wallet also. Of course I look back at all the rare wheels I have owned and wonder why I sold them????? Set of 944 Turbo Cup wheels - sold for $500 yep the Mag ones (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) 2 9x15 Fuchs - yep 914-6 GT or 911 RSR wheels 4 6x15 911 deep offset wheels (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) Maybe I should shot myself for that one (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ar15.gif) I have manged to keep my Orginal Minilights, and another set of 6x15 Fuchs, they run duty on my 914-4. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. BTW the black and silver thing drives me nuts (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/barf.gif) Just don't like the look. |

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/yikes.gif) There are names we call people like you. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) Lucky. BTW, you wouldn't want to sell off that set of 4 to a fellow non-club member, would ya? |

I believe they do require a special primer. I remember the blue coat under the silver on the one that I had. In the old days they were frowned upon due to cracking. I don't know if any were made in the tubeless tire variety; the 'J' in the 5.5Jx15.
