Digging through some stuff tonight -- came across "Petersen's Porsche Classics". The date looks like 1982. It might have been a real /6 as well.
Anyone seen it live? Attached image(s) |

Customs were all the rage back in the early 80's. Although some may have a bit of a cool factor most was just plain fugly.
Anyone for a 930 on a budget? Attached image(s) |

I saw the 914 in the mid 80's at the Aase Bros. showroom. If you didn't know any better you would have thought it came from the factory that way. It was really nicely done.

I was surfing last night and a certain parts supplier
Atlanta has on their website a brief blurb about the the Aase Bros 914 truck and that they plan to make one also. Shows a pic of a white teener with some PO mods. Would be cool if they did it. - Garold |

The 914-6 pickup was originally built by Troutman- I saw it before it was sold to the Aase Brothers. It was used as their shop parts chaser vehicle. I believe there may have been two of them produced. It was painted brown with 928 wheels. Nicely done. DH

I was at an independent Porsche repair shop (can't recall the name after so amny years) back in about 1975 or 1976 and saw a 914 pickup at the shop. It's a vague memory, but it too was black. Though novel, I remember thinking at the time that it looked weird. This one would pre-date the one shown. Wonder how many were built?
