Well, I got the seats and backpad out now. I thought it was strange that my backpad didn't have the "dome light" in it. Then when I took it out, there was a set of wires there for it.

So, did 1970's have the "dome light" in the backpad?

Otherwise, there is some standard rust (if you will).

Ouch! That rust is close to the parking brake cables...are they okay (no binding)?

unless what i see in the pictures is the lap-belt for the 3rd seat, your seat-belts are mounted in the wrong position. the "female" part should be mounted on the side of the center tunnel, not on the floor-board. the floor-board holes are for the 3rd seat lap-belt.

I'll check the seatbelt mounts tonight. I think you are seeing the 3rd seat belts however. The female part of the belt for the driver and passenger is on the side of the tunnel if I recall.

So my backpad must have been redone at some point by a PO because it was missing the whole light assembly.

The parking brake doesn't work (nor did it work when I got the 914). I really don't knwo why it doesn't work, but intend on fixing it after the strip-n-dip of the tub in acid (everything is coming out anyways).
