The up/down pivot on my side view mirror is loose....any fixes? Other than hoping for it to rust?

The fix is to take the glass out and tighten the that's on the inside. Then re-install the glass.
Nope, I'm not kidding. Maybe you can stick a matchbook cover into the pivot? (OK, I'm kidding on this one!) --DD |

It destroys SOME of the seals. You have to be very careful. I wrote up a detailed How-To awhile back. If you find it, move it to the Classics please. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I take the outside mirrors apart all the time. You can do it without destroying any of the seals .
