I was reading a thread about Vivid Racing and the In-Car Cameras they use and posted up a couple of links.

This video:
http://www.myvividracing.com/vividvideos/autoxcamdemonew.wmv

has a couple of 914s, ON TRACK, in the first 2.5minutes

how would you like to be the passenger in the cobra kit car without a roll bar? How do they get away with that?

Cool video thanks!

Doesn't look like Button Willow to me. A Cobra with a half cage rolled at Button Willow about a year ago and killed the driver. Full cage for me.

well I haven't been to willows in years so I wasnt sure.

It definitely isnt BW....what is with the traffic "sticks" on the outside edge of all the berms?
First time I have ever seen anything like that. Guess they are supposed to keep folks off the berms? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Can you send a file showing the quality of what your son shot with that camara? Thats a great price. It records to a SD card correct?

Now it is driving me nuts where that track is!! Had some nice long straights and sweepers. Clearly in a state that doesn't require front plates - I watched every car that pulled out for a plate to determine the state and not a single car had a front plate!

Truck at the very end appears to maybe say something, AZ tho' the door is blurry.

I thought/said it was Buttonwillow because of the Tower that the one car goes by on the straightaway.
Now that I think about it though, I *think* the tower at BW is on the drivers inside, not on the outside.
The thread also had a link for a video AT Buttonwillow, but the link wasn't working.
Of course, *Buttonwillow* isn't the reason for this post either! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Sorry about not replying - been busy with family stuff the past few weeks.

The video is pretty good (30fps) if you use a big SD card. The sound sucks BIG TIME...but the idea for this thing was for use in the race car and on the gokart. after shooting, plug SD card in reader and it plays right away. (mac anyway, I don't use those PC's (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ) iMovie import was great and easy to edit and add sound effects.

I'll email you a small file once I can find it on my son's computer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm 95% sure that this is Arizona Motorsports Park.

"Arizona Motorsports Park: A brand new track in Phoenix, near Luke Air Force Base. Unfortunately the track is shut down and may not reopen due to issues with neighboring property owners."
