VW parts are SOO cheap, they probably have the cheapest of everything, and a one piece fiberglass body..

Is it a kit, or is it a completly built car...

In the '60s when VW was negotiating with the Brasilian government to build a factory there, the government made them agree to supply components to the "national" car companies, to get a home-grown automotive industry started in the country. What happened is that everybody and his brother began building bodies and putting them on VW drivetrains. It was like Bruce Meyers, but on a national scale. Sports cars, buggys, Jeeps, transporters, whatever. A lot of cool stuff as well as some dreck. One thing you have to say about Brasilians is that they're rarely boring, and you can see that in their cars. Not fancy, but lots of character and usually pretty cheap.

I should put together some photos of those cars. All kinds of buggies, the Gurgel Jeeps, all the Beck cars, the 550 Spyders, 356's, Speedsters, Ferrari copies and interpretations of Ferraris, the Pumas and on and on. Anything you could put a VW chassis under, in fact. That Bugway buggy and the Beck cars all had their own chassis even, just using the VW drivetrain. Cool cars.
