I had planned to redo my car this winter becuase of a few things that were not done the first time.

After months of talking with the boby shop, they have agreed to totally re do the car at no CHARGE! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rocking nana.gif) This will happen this coming winter.

Now that's customer satisfaction!

I wish I had a boby shop to fix my car, instead of a body shop.

I saw the title of this thread and I thought "he must be talking about the engine, because the paint on Kelly's car is already the best I've ever seen in person." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Dood, your car was already an 11, what the hell needs to be improved on? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

The car was supposed to have been galvanized when it was done the first time, but wasn't. So it will be stripped and E coated then repainted.

Kelly,

Your car is beautiful.

Here is a picture I snaped a few years ago when you visited MI. (best of show)

I saw firsthand at the '06 FFC how gorgeous Kellys' car is. I can't imagine a more beautiful paint finish. Even under the deck lids.....wow. I tried taking a picture of the inside of the rear lid.......all I got was mirror reflection (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif)

We should all hope for paint work as brilliant as that.

...heading into the park in Nashville, In at the 2006 FFC.....

Where is the e-coat tank and cure oven that will do it?

What will you do with the heater tubes when they are destroyed by dipping the entire car in water based paint and then cured in a 400°F oven? Are you dipping the car in stripper to remove all the body caulk and everything else that will outgas at 400°F?

How can you be sure to get proper placement of the electrodes? How will you prevent huge air bubbles from getting trapped in certain spots?

Is it April fools early?

The place is in Long Lake, MN here's a link. They are only doing the stripping and E coating, if you read the site you'll find they have a very different way of stripping a car. The painting is done be MCP Car Star in Annandale, MN. The don't do restorations they just do normal paint and repair work. I have know these guys for over 20yrs and they have always repaired my work trucks. They have stated many times that this is the best paint jod they have ever done. But they have proved time and again that is wasn't just luck. The hood has been repaint 3 times, the rear deck once, both front quarters a couple of times(if your wonder why some many times... it tends to get a few rock chips driving it to all the car show) and they get the paint to match perfect each time.

As for the heater tubes they will taken out and replaced after the E coat. The weld to patch the hole cut to take them out will be the only place on the car without some kind of rust proofing.
