Received my Tangerine Header today from Chris Foley. What a piece of art. It has the H/T coating, the Phase 9 Silencer, the Quiet Can and his new Heat Exchanger. I am very impressed with the quality. GREAT job Chris. I should receive my new engine (2270) back from Jake Raby in the next week or so. It is being dynoed this week. I can't wait to get these parts together and on the car. I am also having the Rennshift shifter, the Tarett front sway bar and the 911 clutch kit installed with the engine. The DE events should alot more fun next year and I also plan to try auto x for the first time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif) 911s, look out!!!!

Rick,
Yep you went all the way! I dynoed one just like yours today, this one made 161 ponies and 166 lb/ft of torque! Yours will be on the dyno on Friday unless tomorrow's "Patient" breaks something... This is Dyno week! Going all the way, all at once is the wisest choice one can make! ITS CHEAPER THAT WAY! |

You need to post the headers in the "vendors" area with pics. B |

Mike,
Check the photo on the Tangerine site labeled "356 Conversion". Looks like a T4 turned around. http://www.tangerineracing.com/images/Head...cs/IMG_0111.JPG Mike |

Ha ha ha...
How about it Foley ?? Free BJ ?? Sorry. I dont want a BJ from Foley.. Toby, You are used to seeing VW type1 pricing on crappy products. Welcome to T4 and high quality products that fit and work correctly the first time. He is not a mass production shop and probably only sells 1 header a month. B |

QUOTE(mikez @ Dec 3 2003, 02:49 PM) Can those headers be run on a Type IV that is in an ass dragger nad still remove the oil filter w/o having to take the headers off? Umm Mike, I'm not even sure you can install the oil filter in the stock location with the Beetle/356 Conversion headers I make. I guess you could use different mufflers and then it would be no problem. QUOTE or else come with a free blow-job QUOTE How about it Foley ?? Free BJ ?? No, but I might do your wife at no extra charge if you buy a header. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bootyshake.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) QUOTE How do you keep the nuts on the bottom of the engine ?? You can't fool all the people all the time. Guess I need to take another picture, lol. BTW, I got my hands on a used Triad/European Racing header finally and it doesn't compare favorably with mine at all. First of all the stubbies totally suck IMO. The don't even fit into the exhaust port without overtorqueing the nuts, which overstresses the weld joint where the little tube attaches to the stub. That's a sure recipe for early failure due to cracking, not to mention the guaranteed exhaust leaks. No offense to the company that produces them but it didn't take a lot of engineering or skill to produce those things. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) Don't get me started! This is a pic of Rick's system before I sent it out for recoating. It was originally built by Pete Weber and I corrected a couple of issues before adding my mufflers and the heat exchanger: Attached image(s) |

Go to our vendors section and see the post for European racing.. George... from Nevada. call and ask if he sells them seperate (couldnt imagine he wouldnt sell them seperate) They use a 911sc flange/gasket on the header side of the stub tube.
You might want to wait until Chris comments on whether or not these where the "shit ones" that didnt fit for him. I hope they are not.. I have been running this header/stub tubes for 10+ years with no serious issues. b |
