The distance from the friction surface to the bolt surface is 0.225. Distance from pressure plate mounting surface to friction surface is 0.876"

It is taking quite a bit of shimming of the pivot ball to get the throwout lever & bearing to disengage the clutch before running out of travel.

The grooves made by the old oil seal are plainly visible and can be easily felt with my fingernail. The rust/pitting hasn't been affected much by 10 minutes of #00 steel wool.

Is it time for a replacement flywheel? $350 new. This car hasn't run in at least a decade and is pretty beat up, but I would like to do the work right so that it will be reliable and not leak oil all the time.

i agree.. WAY too much trouble to replace it in 200 miles if it doesn't come around. Do it right the 1st time

Post a WTB ad for a good used one and then have it resurfaced.
