Spent 1.5 hours cleaning the oil off all the leading edges of my car yesterday. This mini was a second per lap slower than me but I couldn't get by him on the straights, reeled him in on braking and turning.

His car was spewing oil mist the whole time. It is amazing how it coated not only my bumper and windshield, but even the small lips around the front and rear fenders.

Had to use dishwashin soap to get it all off.

I did finally pass him, after his motor gave out.

Now to get rid of the 1.7 and install the 2.0.

The man has control of his camera. Great shots !!

Do they have a 13/13 rule for your group ?? I would have given him a Nascar "nudge" and spun him on a safe turn. LOL

We do have 13/13. This guy doesn't usually run with us. At the chicane I went in really deep but he cut me off. I was an inch away from quatering him with my right front. Our cars look big compared to that thing.

Anyway, what goes around comes around. When his motor failed and he pulled off the track, I saw at least one other driver shaking their fist at the guy.

The images are single frames from the digital camcorder.

thanks,
dr

Way to go!

What track is that? Moroso Park? If so, I've never seen it. Isn't it in the Palm Beach area?

mike,

yes, that event was at moroso. It was sponsored by jaguar, called the palm beach sports car classic. Was a joint event with SCCA and VDCA.

Moroso is in west palm beach, about 90 miles from miami.
