> Do 195/50/15 tires look "right" on these cars, or is the fender well gap too much?

I currently run 195/60/15, but it seems like there is more options if you go to 195/50 15. These Hankook R-S2 tires look pretty cool. Anyon got some pics, mounted?

IMHO the 195/50/15's look too small.

If tire selection is what you are after, try 195/50/16's instead.

16" fuchs aren't tooo hard to find or tooo $$$

50 series tires look too small for me. But that being said, the tire choices are better. I have 50s on my car now, but I'm collecting parts for a five lug swap and I have 16" wheels waiting which will get me the advantages of the lower profile, but with a more appealing aesthetic.

Yes, I see that look a little wanting. Then what about 205/55R-15? They have these BR Goodrich g-Force Sports that look pretty nice. Are they too fat?

I split it and run 205/55's on mine and they seem to fit okay...

I'm currently running the 195/50/15's, but will change to the 60's on my next set. I just don't like what the small diameter tires do to my gear ratios.

These 205/55/15s look tough for tires on 51/2" rims. They fill the wells just perfect! The rear wheel rub is from the PO who ran much larger wheels and rims for the stock rear fenders. WHY?(IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

The color of your 914 is very close to mine! I have never seen that color on a 914. They may be a different shade, but do you mind telling me what color is it so I can be sure. I was positive I was the only one with that color!

What a killer picture thread so far. Travis, your car looks sweet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)

Here's the only pic I could find showing my 195/60 Bridgestones on stock Mahles.

I think the tire height varies by suspensions as well. Stock vs racing makes a difference IMHO.

I wish for 2.0 Fuchs in 15 x 6 personally.

205x50x15 looks fine if the car is lowered enough to fill the wheel wells (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Oh yeah, stock gearing and 50 series tires on the freeway sucks. The engine revs very high.

Good point! Anyone try those Falken 912 tires? Apparently they replace the 512 series, but the still make both.

I've been rollin 195/50s for over a year - they are a great alternative to having a low ratio 901 built! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

My 914 is low enough that they look OK to me. I mostly AX my 914 now so they are sweet. I should go to a bigger contact patch size, but budget is limited. I drive 3.5-4K rpms on the freeway to stay with the flow. 85-95mph gets pretty high and loud on the RPMS.

For street and mild racing, I like the looks of the 195/60s...no worries about fitment with 195 vs 205.
