when I hit Control/F5, I can see it for a brief second, then it gets covered by the grey banner.

Have you tried widening the window or raising your resolution? If I make the window narrow, buttons disappear behind the "914 world" logo.

I didn't realize I couldn't see it. (until now) I was using the search at the bottom. Now I can see it just for a bit then it is covered by the grey banner.
