I stopped at my local machine shop to check on the progress on my head repair.
The first of four photos is the exhaust valve punched into the head splitting the intake seat. (Very hard!) The valve was punched into the head about 3/4" The port was split and buldged. Attached image(s)

It wasn't cheaper and faster to buy a replacement head? Seems like a lot of expensive work.

what caused it in the first place? iirc, you had just started from cold when this happened. Do both heads need to be reblt?
