I need my speedo either replaced or repaired. Anyone here rebuild these things? Or is their a same size VDO replacement?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) Andy PS: i replaced the cone-shaped plastic cover with a flat glas cover from my old 914 speedo. simply drilled a hole for the trip-o-meter reset button ... |

At the risk of getting slapped upside the head - are you sure it is dead? Seems to be more common that the angle drive fails.

My speedo works, but its erratic, odo doesn't work. Its a 150 type speedo. Would prefer to speedo to work reliably, with odo for insurance reasons. Will check out the 944 option. Does the 944 need calibration?
