It's the loop thing in the middle of the engine bay rear bulkhead:
(IMG:http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d26/autohausdolby/2008_01020004.jpg) I've never actually seen my '6 in one piece so I don't actually know what it's for. There was a pair of bars through it similar to the ones that spring the engine lid when I first got the car. Anybody know what it does? |

The rear decklid tension rods pass through the loop.
