OK ... this actually still has me a little freaked...but here goes. So I am putting the car back together from my very fruitless ignition switch install. I decide to tear into the dash and replace some of the lights. I did the fuel gauge, tach, and moved on to the Speedo. I pulled the top end of the speedo out and what do I see....

(IMG:http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u307/Sleepin1974/100_1677.jpg)

Not weird you say? Well it is clearly written "Valerie" on top of the speedo. I have been wondering what to name the car. I knew it was a "her", but didn't know what would be a good name. I figure someone else musta named her long ago. Definetly not a common name, I have only met 2 Valeries in my life.

Oh....what makes it weird? .......Valerie is my wife's name as well.

song by "The Monkeys"

Valleri
I love her, Valleri

There's a girl I know
Who makes me feel so good
And I wouldn't live without her
Even if I could

They call her Valleri
I love her, Valleri

She's the same little girl who used to
Hang around my door
But she sure looks different than
The way she looked before

I call her Valleri
I love her, Valleri
Valleri
I love her, Valleri
I love her, Valleri
I need her, Valleri

On a parts car, I found someone had made a smiley face on the headlight motor in the same color paint as the car. From the factory? A friendly hint? Who knows.

See at this point I was expecting someone to have come on and said "hey thats normal! Valerie was someone who installed dashes from the factory"...." or something like that...if it is this unique.....that is really weird! Maybe it was a car for Valerie Bertenelli! No one's entertained the idea that Valerie (his wife) branded her name in his car to mark her territory? Brian's car parts have "Jenny" etched all over them. (not really, but not a bad idea)

Why would this be?

It no longer makes sense because alpha edited his first post and removed his descriptoon of his former male russian neighbor named Valerie. Poor joke, now more so.
