What is the procedure for refinishing the targa top to its original texture/color? I have to do some crack repair and the entire top needs to recoated/painted. Is there some type of paint or is there a gun/nozzle that can apply the texture?

Thanks, Dave

There are several threads on refinishing and results.

For the DIY options and if the top is faded and not too bad shape....
I used this herculiner TOP COAT applied with a foam roller.
It is not the liner material, just the top coat used to re-color their liner when it gets faded. So far (5 mo's) it holding up and is cheap and easy.

(That one bottle is enough to re-coat it 4-5 times)

Here's the official line from Porsche Classic:

Dear Mr. Ziegler,

thank you for your request.

We would like to inform you that you may use an ordinary paint in order to restore your Targa top.
If you need a technical documation please have a look in relevant literature which you can purchase
at your local Porsche Center.

Yours faithfully

Sounds kinda like a blow-off but its straight from the horse's mouth.
