interesting..... i've never seen or heard of one before but that's not saying much. obviously, the can fits from above the spare tire turned so the back of the wheel faces upward so the can can fit into the space. also, spare tire couldn't be bolted down unless back side of tire faces up. looking for more info added by others.....

Also means that the windshield washer line might be pinched if the tire was facing down.
