http://www.ticz.com/homes/users/bob/On-A-R...k/On-A-Rock.htm On ARock In Rural Iowa I'm told that there is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy. 25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing it's character many times. A few months back, the rock received it's latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It's quite an impressive sight. Attached image(s) |

As you can see from the background, it's as tall as a telephone pole (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif)

If the little flags at the base are about 6" tall (3" flag & 3" stick) it would be about 7'-8' tall

That rock is in Greenfield - about an hour away from Des Moines. Actually - the location is only about 30 miles from where Lawrence bought his 914/6 (there's your 914 content).
1) I haven't seen the rock 2) There ARE things to do in Iowa other than go look at painted rocks 3) I will not go see the rock and put a 914club sticker on it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) -Pam |
