I need lugs for my wheels which are 911 fuchs sizes 16x6 and 16x7's
Is there any need for the long ones? Which look better? |

I could be wrong, but I think the only reason to use longer lugs is when you use spacers. That said, I use my stock lug bolts with my 15x7 wheels

IME the standard lugs are fine; however I have seen at least two different depths of steel lug nuts. Both get adequate thread engagement but the shallower ones might be more likely to satisify any extra-anal tech inspectors you may run across (if you do autox or track events).

QUOTE(acox914 @ Jan 15 2004, 06:30 PM) what about fake fuchs....are they thicker? we're talking 5-lug Fuchs, yes ? mine are thicker. the stud is a teeny bit shorter than the end of the nut. i believe it's perfectly safe for the street, and if i were to AX on those wheels, i wouldn't be concerned about the lug engagement depth. i won't take them to DE events, tho ... (and not because of the stud length, because of the wheels ...) |
