Hi Guys & Gals,

Things are shaping up nicely for the WCR 2008 Ramble.

We have close to thirty registered for the event, with the standard procrastinators among us ( I'm one ); this is going to be quite the turn-out.

Here's what we need to do by May 1st:

Get signed-up at your Hotel of choice, the Holiday Inn ( they reduced their price to $106.) is our host , they have been very good to us so far. The Motel 6 is a nice spot just across the street.

Get your money sent to me ASAP ( I'm currently unemployed & need a trip to Costco) We just need to get a few of the goodies going.

We have some great fun planned:

Friday's jouney to Port Townsend via a ferry ride should be a very memorable trip. Larry (LS6/914) has some fun and sights planned for us.

I was hoping to be able to subsidize some of the $40.00 roundtrip ferry ticket but I'm not so sure at this point...bring the $$$.

For Saturday the one and only RhodyGuy ( Kevin ) is working on a route up and over Mt Rainier for us! ( I'll set up mountain rescue in advance); if we all make it down the mountain Saturday nights banquet should be a spiritual event.

The driver on the 5/01/08 cut-off date is the hotel. Once the rooms are released it's every man/woman for themselves.

A gigantic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) to Rob (Conedodger) for keeping this on Page 1 the entire winter!
It's still up in the air whether Rob can make it but he get's free (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) either way. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)

I'm still having fun... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png)

Just wrote out my check. It will be going out today. I am hoping to bring my son (age 9). We'll see how that pans out though. Not sure where all the events are. If we are doing any meeting lunch or dinners in bars that kind of screws that up. Also who knows if the wife will go for it. Any Mariners games that weekend? Be a good excuse to catch one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I am sure there will be kid friendly stuff as you aren't the only one that wants to bring their kids. The Mariners are out of town this weekend (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) They're in KC

Dave, I had the same problem. Gotta take the slash of the IATA code number or something. Finally got it to work on third try..

This is one of the difficulties in planning any event. ( so I was told by many).

After grappling with many possible dates and various conflicts I chose this weekend.

Sorry for the conflict.

Hi Dave,

This link was sucessfully set-up some months back and something may be screwy now...

I'll talk with the Holiday Inn tomorrow to see if they can fix it for us.

The hotels phone # is also listed on the announcement if you need to book now.

Hi JRUST,

Based on past events this should qualify as "kid friendly" as long as the kids haven't lived too sheltered of a life. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Last years ramble plenty of kids around, I remember one that wandered off & caused a little panic amongst the parents. We found him in someone elses room at the hotel.

Jamie - I think my family will be tagging along as well - two girls (6 & 9).

Lets make sure we coordinate an Oregon to Washington caravan. Is Coy attending? Just checked the above list - yes he is.
