I purchased a freshly rebuilt 2056 complete w Weber 40s and tins on Craig's List to swap out my leaking engine. My original plan was to perform the work myself but after some minor prep. work (new carb. linkage, 009, Bosch Blue, etc.) I started to doubt my ability to do the swap and get it running properly. So....I contacted Chris Foley at CFR and within 2 days we had the car in his shop and Ed was dropping the engine and Heidi was going through the carbs.

I'm glad I made this decision because they immediately started to find some issues that I would have overlooked for sure. Chris kept me informed daily via email complete with photos and options for correcting the problems. Chris suggested a Mallory pointless distributor and CFRs own Oil Breather sytem to complete the package.

The complete job, including clutch cable tube repairs, a leaky rear caliper rebuild, new pressure plate, clutch and accel. cables and fabricating a fuel pump mount, was done in less than a week. Running sweet!

I think these guys like what they do. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Thanks again!!

P.S.
Chris was nice enough to do a cold leak down on the old engine. Turns out it's not too bad. Some oil leak repairs and venturi resizing and it will be a decent motor. When I get a chance, I'll clean it up and post it for sale.

I second, third and fourth the motion and move for the unanimous adoption of the honor. Team Orange not only saved my butt with my 76, but were a pleasure to work with.

The place sounds like 914 heaven. I gotta get me a tour of the facilities one of these days. I'm about 45 miles of nice backroads away.
