I'm replacing my front shocks with Boge/Sachs inserts (on the '70). I disassembled the first strut and took out the Koni red. Then I noticed the big threaded nut on top of the Koni was not on my new Boge.

I can't just drop that Boge in there, can I? Are my struts set up to take Konis only? Or can it take another insert? I can't remember if the KYB shocks have the threaded top too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

If so, Rhodyguy I may need those KYB's afterall.

I believe they work. I have only used Konis so I am really not sure. The big threaded nut should be able to be reused if I recall. They should have had new ones but if you got them used they most likely got lost.
