plenty of used available can be refinished with vinyl dye.

Most of which have scratches and nicks ... besides the not so black anymore color ...

Mine was cracked into three pieces, so I glued them back together with cyanoacrylate (superglue), and sanded it down smooth, filled the scratches, and will paint it black. The paint won't be as durable as the factory raw finish, but I don't plan on putting anything on the dash, so nothing should ever tough it.
