Another paint code that was most likely used on some 914s is L67Z "Police Green". Used on german police cars during the '70/'80/'90 ...
I was able to verify that that color wasn't available until '74, thus i was able to narrow the possible date range to '74 - '76 ... With that info, i added the color to the main list of colors. Now all we need is to get our hands on a german police 914 ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Andy |

Yes, that is the code I have. However, it may not be stamped on the Karmann badges. I agree that we have to find a car to find out.

However, it may not be stamped on the Karmann badges. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) My guess is they started with a white tub and painted the hoods and doors in police green ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) Andy |

For some reason, i thought he bough his car in germany. I didn't think it was a dutch police car. maybe he bought the car back from Germany - but it is one of just two 914-6 that was officially used from the Dutch Gendarmerie (=Police) and he's restoring it back to Dutch Gendarmerie specifications (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) Gustl |
