I hope people don't start flaming with "rice...blah....blah...racer...not original....blah blah". I think you did a great job. You're very thorough and carried your theme throughout the car very well. Nice work! It's a great looking car.

Is there a reason you didn't install door seals (on the body)? You can get a suitable replacement from McMaster-Carr for about $20.

Thanks guys. I actually have the door seals now. I also have Corbeau racing seats, even though my car is not for the track. I have done a few different things since these pictures. The non-stock comments are actually kind of fun to me, being that I had a "stock" car at one time in life, I have pretty good arguments as of why to change the car as I did, but I am sure everyone is tired of the "modify vs. stock" battle, and everyone has their own taste, so for someone to go out of their way, and try to be-little someone elses project and pride is really immature to me.( besides, I just can't understand how someone can try to knock a car that can blow them off of the track, stock or non-stock{for example-How can you knock BeyondBad914 ?}!!!) Personally I think it is jealousy. What ever happened to "if you can't say something nice, don't say it at all" ??? I've took the time to defend my 914 a couple of times for fun, and the arguments really don't last that long, and it is kinda hard to do without offending anyone else !! My next paint job and body work will include Lambo doors. Im sure that will really irritate some people. Ohhhhh well !!! If it wasn't for the fun things I could do to the car, I wouldn't have it. If I really wanted a collectors' car, it wouldn't be a 914, but that is just my view on it, and I respect everyones cars....with love.......TRON!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

what are the wires leading into the door, behind the door card? I see no speakers in the doors, are they hidden?

Yes, no handles for door remotes, and the wires are for the 2- 5 1/4 speakers in the doors. The speaker wire look is part of the fine detailing that will eventually get done one day !!! ha, ha, there is always something to do !!!

Thanks gentleman. The 3800 actually came out of a 89' Buick Lesabre. the conversion was already in a 914 that I purchased, and then had everything transferred and converted over to my "copper-sunburnt-orange" 914. I have headers and a flowmaster, custom exaughst system. The car sounds like a modern 911. It has a deep roar. The engine has obviously been upgraded, as the receipts from the PO has 200 hp on his documents, and the car moves like it , but those 18" Millenium 911 rims and adapters sure do slow me down !!! (The things we sacrifice for looks, huh ? ) I am looking forward to getting smaller gears in my stock transmission and possibly nitrous up grade. As a matter-of-fact, I am about to put up a post to see if I can find or work something out as far as a 2 for 1 transmission trade !! By the way, I have seen your guys' cars.....Wow. Beautiful.

Yes, I have seen it ,very nice. I believe it is now the bigger engine, correct ?

Yes, I have seen it ,very nice. I believe it is now the bigger engine, correct ?

Hey I love your car. It is a treat to see a really nice concours 914 that is bone stock. Having said that I will never have one like that. I'd rather have a car I can drive & enjoy. If you saw my garage it would be pretty obvious I am not a concours type guy. I love my current v8 car even with the narrow body. I would love to add flares but am not sure I ever will with this car. Someday I will own a flared car again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Never should have sold the 71 I had years ago.

So Tron your car is beautiful. You've done a great job on your car. Those wheels look sweet too. Although I bet the ride is a little stiff. Either way it's your car & it's done how you want it. That is all that matters (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

For Tron overload it would be cool to lay down pin stripping all over the contours of the car with some sort of reflective or black light sensitive invisible paint imbedded into the clear coat. Or a glow in the dark paint.

J, Thanks, out of curiosity would you mind telling me around how much hp are you getting out of that V-8 ? Is it around the same(200hp)?? I believe I saw a picture of your car, very nice. The ride I have with my rims is actually like a cadillac !!! No joke !!! The suspension is really smooth. I have Bilstein shocks and the red springs. (does anyone know what size these actually are, and what kind of driving they are designed for? I like them and wouldn't get rid of them no matter what they are for).......Now .....Mr. Chappy......1st of all, your car has to be the "newest" 914 on the street. What a work of art (not surprising however, you being a artist !! ). INCREDIBLE !!!............2nd of all, those are very good ideas !!!! But I have one that I have been sitting on, and I just can't make up my mind, so here it is.......I have been thinking about having a big airbrushed Porsche "crest" put on the targa top. I am worried about taking away the seriousness of the car by doing this. Also, airbrushing here in Cali. on cars is also looked at as a "mural" for our lowriders, and my Porsche certainly is not , however I do want a modern look, a little "old school", and I like originality. So what do you and you other guys think???? Mural, or just leave it alone.....something tells me I'm gonna end up doing that mural, though, unless you guys talk me out of it.

I also am considering "Lambo Countach" style rims ( 5 circles) , and selling the Milleniums that are on there now. The Lambos are chrome ( not factory chrome painted like these) and have a bolted lip (three piece). They are Aluminum, so they will be lighter than my 911 rims for sure, and he can make me a 4 bolt pattern, meaning I wouldn't need adapters. As a matter-of-fact, go to Brandt racing.com, and they should be there. If anyone e-mails him, please tell him I sent you. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated too.....Something about those Lambo rims I've always liked !!!........

Really nice work. Love the flares and the paint color- they go well together.

A lotta love and work went into that car, and it is really well done. Love the colors used for the door panels and the console as a match for the paint color- it ties the inside to the outside.
