Sorry for the cross-post, but there was zero response on another 914 site.

I cannot find Halogen replacement bulbs for my Cibie 40 driving lights, 12V/35W.

There is a sticker inside the Cibie light housings listing:

Hella 1N1-001-78-11 and Philips 12-227

as the correct Halogen replacement bulbs for the Cibie 40s, but I cannot find either at FLAPS or on-line. The Hella and Philips web sites do not show these bulbs. And I cannot find a Cibie web site.

Searches on the various 914 forums have not yielded any leads either.

Anyone else here use Cibie 40s in their '70-'74 914 front bumper as driving lights(replacing the fog lights), and most importantly "Where can I find Halogen replacement bulbs"? I would rather not have to shell out $$$ for new driving lights when all I need is a couple of bulbs.

Thanks,

I'm not sure about your "40s", I used to have the series 95 and as I recall they took a standard H4 bulb. I'm not sure about that, but you might compare them and see if they're the same.
Good Luck!

Per a link supplied on another 914 site, I found out the Cibie 40s use Halogen H2 bulbs.

I quickly found and ordered a pair online.

Case closed!
