I have a buddy that is trying to start a 1971, 914 engine with the following specs...
1.7L 66mm Stroke 90mm Bore I believe it's stock cam, Lift .345 Intake .310 Exhaust The heads had been worked on as follows: Head 1.7L 022.101.372 Intake valve = 39.3 Exhaust valve = 35.4 = Bigger than stock!! He has dual 40 Weber idf's, with 28mm venturi's, that he wants to run but needs to know what jets should he use for this engine combination? Sound's to me like it's a stock 914 engine with just bigger exhaust valves (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) . Can anybody help us? What if any problems or benefits will he have with the larger exhaust valves? thx |

45 to 50 idle jets
110 to 125 main gas jets 180 air correction This is really ball park and should get it running. Some places will trade jets. |
