I've seen lots of flared cars out there but have yet to see one painted Zambezi. My 73 came stock with L64K and I'd like to keep it that color. I'm hoping someone out there has one so I can see what it'll look like after I weld on the flares.

You guys are my heros. I've got that same pic of the Irish green one above. I've been trying to imagine that one in Zambezi. Seeing the real deal is much better.

Thanks guys,

John

Who owns this one? Somebody here? I would like to chat about that rear spoiler if possible.

Damn, photo dropped off. This is the car with the small spoiler on the rear trunklid.

Lots of Green 914's shown but I believe only post #4 is Zambezi Green. Conda Green or Viper Green and even Irish Green are different shades of green compared to Zambezi.

Can I hijack this a bit?

I can't remember the name, but it's the greenish/goldy/yellow color...anyone ever seen of those flared? I've been considering that for whitey?

Got pics?

thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

you might think of one of these:
L11D - berber yellow
L98B - lime green metallic
L99A - delphi green metallic

but I've never seen a flared car with those colours ...

To my limited knowledge Zambezi was only available in 73 and 74, therefore it was never a factory 6 color. The only factory 6 colors in green were Irish, Metallic Green, or Willow. This definately is a Zambezi car below, just not flared:

in general correct - but there was the possibility to choose every colour the factory was able to mix (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

speaking of standard and optional colours from the color sheets - yes

I know at least one 1970 914-6 that left the factory painted in conda green (a 911 colour in 1970+71)

and there was this 1972 916 in viper green metallic
