Tried that already. Autozone and NAPA both said their equipment wasn't designed to test the Bpsch altenator which is regulated externally.

You may have to go a little bit old school and find a generator/alternator repair shop in your area. I had to do the same with mine a couple of weeks ago. FLAPS couldn't test it with their rig and rebuilt unit would have been about $110. Generator shop in the area tested it, replaced the brushes and bearings for about $35. Check the yellow pages.

Check the junk yards in your area. Likely one of them has a rebuild business as part of the operation

Is there Advance Auto Parts in TN? Mine in VA has the connections to test an alt, not to say all AAP's can.
