Hey guys,
working on the car right trying to get all the connections correct. So... From the Battery there is a fat black cable that goes to the starter motor. do the starter motor and alternator need to be linked together with a power cable?... So there would be a cable from the starter motor to the alternator and then another one from the alternator back to the battery? I think this is how it is supposed to be, but I wanna make sure. -Peter |

I would run the wire from the alt to the battery and a cable from the starter to the battery. A cable for each. Don't depend on the starter connection for the alternator. Probably the alt cable doesn't need to be as big as the starter cable. I have worked on lots of cars and don't remember any large cable that goes from the alt to the starter.
