I'm looking at a'74 2.0. It has original dealer paperwork from a CA Porsche dealership. However, it has the VW-Porsche namplate on the rear. I thought only cars for european distribution had this insignia. Shouldn't it read 914 2.0 if it was for US distribution?
Thanks for the help.

What is the VIN and engine number? I may be able to tell something from that.
Is the paperwork a window sticker or a bill of sale? Either would help.

Thanks for your response. I believe the document is the p.o.e. window sticker. It's on an e-mail at my office. I'll check later today and re-post. The VIN is also indicated on the doc.
Thanks

It appears to be a window sticker from Bob Smith Porsche in Hollywood, CA. The VIN is 4742904506.
Thanks
