Pretty awesome little unit! Won it off of ebay straight from Germany. I've been looking for a while and brand new (kit) cost $1300. Got this one for $500. I bench tested it last night and boy does that little thing pour out the heat. Sounds like a little jet turbine. Pretty sophisticated little peice of machinery.
Trying to determine where to mount it. -Rob |

If not, I can hook you up with a copy of the one I have here. Congrats on the killer deal!! Cool... thanks but I was able to find the documentation on the web. I knew they were small by looking thru some information before buying... but when I got the actual unit in my hands, I couldn't believe how small it is. Will post some pics later and during the install. -Rob |

Neat to see others thinking the same. I have a D1LC on the shelf waiting for a free weekend. I'd like to see where you put yours. Up front gives easiest access to the defroster; out back to the heater tubes. I've actually wondered if replacing the airbox up front would be possible.

Isn't the D1LC a diesel unit? B1LC is petrol.

Do you plan on doing an build/install thread? Please considder it, as I'll most likely be doing the same thing for heat.

I got one off German ebay for my bus a few months ago. After getting it in my hands I started thinking about a Tangerine header and a gas heater in the 914. Did your come with the programmable controller or just the temp knob? I have a controller. You can set it to turn on in the morning so your car is nice and toasty before you get in. Not that I drive my car in the winter over here. Please take pictures when you do the install. I was thinking of mounting it in the engine bay so I didn't have to mess with the fresh airbox up front and routing the exhaust is easier.
