Took the 914 for a pretty good trip this weekend, about 180 miles each way up North of Portland Maine. Only problem was that it rained and snowed near portland!

Got home last night and cleaned her off pretty well but there is/was salt everywhere! I'm planning on using some hot water and a terry towel and trying to wash as much of the shit off from everywhere, any other tips...(aside from not driving through a snow storm)

Take it to a self clean car wash and bring jack stands and a hydrolic jack. If they are not busy, shouldn't be an issue. loosen up the outer rockers too and get in there!
