This the the boot that goes over the back up light switch on the left side of the transmission. This boot is also used on some senders on other six cylinder Porsche engines.

This rubber cap/seal part is used 2 places on the 914/4 & 914/6 -

This cap is also used at the Master Cylinder - see PET 604-00 #25

as well as PET 302-00 #22 for the Transaxle location noted above
