I pulled the fuel tank this past weekend and replaced the plastic lines with steel. The plastic lines were fine but the rubber under the tank fell apart when I lifted the tank. Oh well, it's done now, I won't have to worry about it now. Where is a good source for the gaskets and socks, etc. to get the tank ready to put back in?

Socks and gasket are standard VW parts. Bug shops or online places will have them. Metric hose is available from the same places or local parts house. Get the unbraided hose and pressure rated.
