If your 1.8 turns over just fine but will not start just after replacing the clutch, look at the s shaped air intake boot. (this is the one that connects the air flow meter to the throttle body. Often when removing it and unplugging the air flow meter to access the transmission securing nut near the throttle body, this boot either does not get reconnected properly, gets cracked, the air flow meter does not get plugged in, or the vacuum line connecting the boot to the oil filler gets knocked off. This causes a massive air leak resulting a loss of vacuum to move the air flow meter flap and thus not trigger injection.
