The instrument lights on all 3 gauges, and the license plate lights (both) just went out at the same time. Is there a connection, or is it just blind 914 luck?

Checked the fuses, all OK.

Make sure the little defroster warning light (black rectangular box next to the heater lever) doesn't short out. The 12V and ground on that are only a mm away from each other.

But that usually blows a fuse ...

PS: Maybe you just turned down the dimmer? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
