My insurance company wanted me to get an updated appraisal. In 2004 the car was appraised @ $16,600CAN.
The new appraisal came in @ $17,700.CAN
It's not that I can sell it for this amount, hell, it's been for sale for $9800 for 4 months ( 72 914 ) and nobody wants it but it's nice to know that if I'm in an accident or it is stolen, I can recoup my money invested.

The best part is that fact that even with the economy as bad as it has been the value of our cars has held their value. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Like you said it's worth more wrecked probably than what a buyer will pay but thats the case for most classic cars that are on the fringe. Actual value is what you can get for it you know.

You start saveing every piece of positive info on the value of you 914. So if you

need to collect on your Ins. you will have independent documentation . We all

need to do that ,other wise, the Ins. Company protray them selves as the only

expert on the subject. Dave (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif)
