Selling a customized 914/6 headers and a custom stainless muffler.

The headers have been modified to fit Burns 3-1 collectors and have long 27" primaries optimized for torque. They have slip connections after the collectors to allow fitment of either a stock bannana style muffler or the custom muffler shown here.

The muffler was made by Pete Weber at QuietHorsepower.com. It is fabricated out of stainless and weighs only 15lbs or so. It is designed to pass 93db at 50ft sound restrictions for AX.

Also includes the transmission mounting bracket with aluminum spacers (the wood was only for mock-up)

Asking $650 for everything. The muffler alone was $600 new.

Note: Combine with my other 914/6 conversion parts for discounts.

What type of coating is on the headers?

Also, will it fit behind a stock chrome bumper?

This may work well for my 2.7, but I'm still thinking...

The header is coated with some high temp stuff that was recommended by Pete Weber, I will have to look at home for the exact name.

As for fitting behind a chrome bumper, I am not sure. It would be a tight fit, one could do a little fab to shorten up the lenght of the secondaries as needed.

It sounded great behind my 2.7L.
