There does not seem to be a slot for the long wire to go through per the instructions.....
Do I drill one???
Yup, takes me a while to do things...

I see the slot from the inside/front....but I do not see it going all the way through...It looks like it goes into the large round part in the back...
Do I take off the plastic piece..or just try shoving the wire through and see where it comes out...

Dont reall want to take off the plastic piece..looks like it wont survive it.

IIRC just shove the wire thru, don't take it apart!

Yup, just shove it through. IIRC, mine was a bit tight too, but then again, I added several coats of reflective silver to the housing.

thanx...i'll save it for tommorow

I just bought a race car over the winter....so I have decided to keep this one and drive it for fun...now the list of things that I overlooked and ignored was huge...
No headlights
Brake lights were a mess
No reverse lights
No driving lights
No carpets
Interior from hell
(Of course I sold alot of interior stuff cause I am a short sighted bonehead)

The list keeps getting longer...

These lights are part of the front end lighting rebuild, did the rear end earlier today.

Also had to re-adjust the suspension...it was on the bottom slot of my bilsteins...nice and low for the 50s...now I had to move all that up for street tires and it really is nice not having to drive up on a board to get the jack under it...I forgot how easy it should be.

Rich, After you have the light bulb out, you can look and see the holes, Use the larger of the two, don't worry it will go through.

Rich,

The photos show where the wire comes out in the back and how it's routed in the housing.

Hope that helps,

E.
